The Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw) is one of the principle centres for research on Central, Eastern and Southeast Europe. Our work is focused on issues of European integration and EU Neighbourhood, covering macroeconomic, labour markets, trade and FDI, regional and sectoral issues. We also provide detailed country analyses on the CESEE countries. wiiw is an independent, non-profit institution. Our staff serves the public and clients alike, delivering economic analyses and research, forecasts, statistical data and policy advice.
We work on many issues relevant for the Danube Region Strategy: economic growth and structural change, competitiveness, labour market developments and migration, trade, FDI, regional disparities, etc.
